MEET THE INSTRUCTORS:

Jesse Bowman founded Motorcycle Riding Concepts in 2004. In 2005, he was elected president, and is now the Chief Information Officer. Jesse has been riding motorcycles for 35 years and has owned a variety of off-road and street motorcycles. Jesse and his wife, Mary, currently own four motorcycles and enjoy riding recreationally. He is a recently retired, certified police motorcycle officer from a large suburban police agency. Jesse participated in police motorcycle safety and skills competitions and has won awards in Canada and the United States. |

John Harris is the Chief Financial Officer for Motorcycle Riding Concepts. John is a Police Sergeant with a large suburban police agency. He spent 10 years on the Police Motor Squad, serving eight years as one of the lead motorcycle instructors for the Motor Squad. John regularly competes in police motorcycle safety and skills competitions and consistently places in the top 15. He has over 20 years riding experience and enjoys recreational riding with family and friends. |

Mike Nicholson (Nick) is the Operations Manager for Motorcycle Riding Concepts. Nick is a police officer of 20 years, having served seven years on the Police Motor Squad. Nick engages in nearly all motocycle disciplines. Students will benefit from his experience and perspectives on sport, touring, standard and custom motorcycles for the street. Off road racing in motocross, supercross, enduro and observed trials round out his motorcycleing resume. Nick has also taught public safety teams riding skills for trail search and rescue operations. |

Mark Payton is the President of Motorcycle Riding Concepts. Mark has ridden motorcycles all of his life in both the street and off-road disciplines. He is a veteran police officer of a large suburban police agency and is currently a Second Lieutenant in charge of a 38 member Police Motor Squad. Mark regularly competes in police motorcycle safety and skills competitions and has won several first-place awards throughout the United States and Canada. He is currently a lead instructor at a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) accredited police training facility and has instructed many students in motorcycle operations since 1996. Mark thoroughly enjoys teaching students the skills necessary to make them safer riders. |

Jeffrey Thompson is the Director of Training and Education for Motorcycle Riding Concepts. Jeff is a Police Sergeant and is currently assigned as a Crash Reconstruction Supervisor for a large suburban police agency. Jeff has owned, built, and operated motorcycles both on and off-road for 40 years, of which 28 years have been with the police department. Jeff has been a certified Motorcycle Instructor for 21 years and has had the opportunity to instruct students from all over the USA and abroad. |

Anita Vick MRC is excited to announce Anita Vick as the newest member of the instructor staff! Anita is an experienced rider coach for the Commonwealth of Virginia and has logged over 70,000 miles riding experience in the past five years. She has completed several advanced motorcycle training courses and is the first civilian staff member to have completed all of MRC's training courses and earned MRC's instructor certification. Anita brings a unique passion and love for motorcycling and safety to MRC. |

Mark Lewis After 12 years in the United States Marine Corps, Mark joined the Police Department in 1977. In 2001 he joined the Motor Squad and quickly earned the instructor certification. Mark enjoys riding recreationally with family and friends and is passionate about teaching proper riding skills. |

Brian Thompson Brian has been an avid motorcycle enthusiast since 1983. A police Sergeant with a local suburban department, Brian served as a motor officer for 6 years. As a lead instructor he developed and implemented a successful training program. He serves as a motorcycle instructor at a multi-jurisdiction police training academy. Brian routinely participates in police motorcycle skills and safety competitions. |

Dan Rosario Originally from California, Dan retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1992 after 21 years of service. Joining a large suburban police agency in 1994, Dan is currently assigned as a Motor Officer where he has been for the past eight years.

Gus Price Glen “Gus” Price joined a large suburban police agency in 1986 and was inducted into their motor squad in 2004. Gus has been riding motorcycles since 1978 and has ridden everything from dirt bikes and ATVs to 1000cc sport bikes and V-Twin cruisers. Gus has a down-to-earth desire to help others learn to ride safely and enjoy the ride.

Mary Bowman Mary has been riding since 2002. She started out on a Sportster and quickly moved on to her current bike, a red 2002 Heritage Softail Springer. As a former ER nurse, Mary loves riding, but insists that everyone needs to learn to ride through formal training, so they can safely enjoy the sport. Look for her sporting red cowboy boots on her rides!

Chad Burrow Chad Burrow has been in law enforcement since 1998 and became a member of the motor squad in 2006.Chad has competed in and won many Police Motor Safety and Skills competitions throughout the U.S. Along with riding, continous training keeps his sharp, clean-cut riding mechanics fresh. Chad has ridden since 2004 and enjoys his Screamin' Eagle motorcycle during his off time. Chad has a strong desire to teach people who want to learn to ride. His precise techniques and "safety first" mentality enable him to be a strong rider and coach.
