RULES, REFUNDS, AND CANCELED CLASSES
Course tuition payments are due upon registration/enrollment.
You must be on time for all sessions of the course. Class starts promptly. If you are late for any portion of the class, you will be dismissed with no refund.
- In order to be eligible for a refund, you must cancel your class registration at least two weeks prior to the class start date.
- MRC reserves the right to reschedule students in cases where weather or other unforeseen events cause the cancellation of a course.
- Personal emergencies which prohibit a student from attending a scheduled course will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact MRC in the case of such an event.
- A $50 processing fee will be assessed for any refunds processed through credit card payments.

Q: Do I need a permit to take the Intermediate Beginners Skills Course?
A: You do not need a permit or Motorcycle license to take this course.
Q: Do I need a permit to take the Advanced Skills Course?
A: Yes, you will need a permit or motorcycle license to attend the Advanced course.
Q: How much is each course?
A: The Intermediate/Beginners course is $300.00. The Advanced course is $300.00 on a Buell Blast and $425.00 on a Road King. The Expert course is $1,500.00. Individual course is a minimum of 3 hours - $400 on the Buell and $500 on the Road King. Sign up and pay online at the Registration page. Or call us.
Q: Can I ride my own Motorcycle?
A: MRC provides the motorcycles that each student will be riding. It is known that the student will not ride as aggressively on their own motorcycle. Learning is optimum when fear of damaging the motorcycle is removed from the learning dynamics. The Intermediate Beginners Skills course training motorcycle is the Buell Blast. The Advanced course training motorcycle is the Buell Blast and the Harley Davidson Road King. There is a $125.00 premium fee for selecting the Road King and they are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: We train rain or shine, so bring your rain gear with you. If there is lightning, we will clear the training site and gauge the weather.
Q: What do I need to bring to class?
A: While on the range, students must wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt or jacket, and footwear that covers the ankle (riding boots are preferred—no sneakers), a ¾ coverage helmet, eye protection ,and gloves with no cut-out fingers are required. MRC can provide a helmet, glasses, and gloves, or you may bring your own.

Q: Is MRC part of the Virginia Rider Training Program?
A: No, MRC is an independent rider training company and is not affiliated with the Virginia DMV. Attendance at an MRC Basic Rider Course does not waive the requirement to successfully pass the Virginia DMV motorcycle Rider skills test . **Patriot Harley Davidson and MRC offer a New Riders Course that exempts you from the DMV written and riding test, upon successful completion of the course.
